Lean Construction

We started our LEAN Journey in 2007 and became an LCI member in February of 2008.  Our dedication toward helping the Industry move toward a more efficient delivery system included our participation and becoming a Corporate sponsor of LCI.  This effort has been led by our LEAN Champion and Coach Dave Fabulich.  Dave has served as the Vice Chair on the LCI Board and helped create the LA CoP in FEB 2008 where he currently sits on the Advisory Board for the LA/OC Chapter.  Dave attends and supports several LCI work sessions including, but not limited to:

• AGC Lean Construction Education Program

• AGC BIM Forum

• MCA Inc.

• Local LCI and LCI Congress events as well as P2SL and LCI / AIA Design Events

• LEI Webinars

At Taft Electric we institute and utilize many Lean Practices including Pull Planning, 5S, Short Interval Scheduling (SIS), Job specific huddles and many other Lean tools.  We volunteer and help to provide education for other trades and General Contractors by teaching Last Planner and Pull Planning work sessions for those who have not had the experience or are not yet utilizing Lean Practices.  We have completed several Lean projects since 2008 and look forward to many more to come.
