Taft Electric began its Lean journey in 2007 and became affiliated with the Lean Construction Institute (LCI) in early 2008. Since then, we’ve remained committed to advancing more efficient, collaborative project delivery across the industry while continuing to support and participate in Lean initiatives and programs.
Our efforts were founded in Lean principles by our Lean Champion and emeritus Dave Fabulich, former Vice Chairman on the LCI Board, who also helped launch the LA Community of Practice in 2008. Taft Electric continues to participate in a wide range of Lean programs and partner initiatives, including:
At Taft Electric, Lean practices guide our daily operations. We implement Pull Planning, 5S, Short Interval Scheduling (SIS), job-specific huddles, and a variety of other Lean tools across our projects. We also support trade partners and general contractors who are new to Lean methodologies by sharing knowledge and collaborating on Lean-focused project delivery approaches.
Since 2008, we’ve successfully delivered numerous Lean projects and remain committed to continuously improving and expanding Lean practices across the work we do.
We Support the Environment Taft Electric fully embraces LEED principles and sustainable construction practices. We believe it is our responsibility to reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and optimize energy and water use—building a healthier future for our communities, our children, and our families.
